Yeah yeah, I hear you…
“Damian, all this thoughtful stuff is great. But what if I’m a feeler? What if I live in my heart?”
Good. Beautiful. Let’s talk about that.
Because thought is important—sure. But heart? Oh, for me… heart is everything.
When you can run everything through your heart—and then let it come out of your vocal cords? Whew. People feel it. On the other side, they feel it in their bones. It lands differently. It connects. It heals.
But to be heartful—truly heartful—you’ve got to be real. You’ve got to show up as the most authentic version of yourself. Not polished. Not perfect. Just you—exposed, open, and at your best.
We’ll talk about being exposed at your best later. But right now, let’s stay here. Let’s sit in the heart.
Have you ever held a baby and suddenly feel like time stands still? Or look into your partner’s eyes and see every version of them at once—the past, the now, the future?
That’s your heart at work.
It slows time. It tunes you in. It lets you really see people.
And if we can do that with a baby…with a lover…why can’t we do it with everyone?
Why not lead every conversation with love? Why not pause long enough to let someone feel safe, seen, and heard in your presence?
Being Heartful Looks Like…
- Eye contact that actually sees
- Listening with your whole body
- Letting someone else’s energy vibrate inside of you for a moment
- Giving people space to be fully themselves—without judgment
That’s the gift of heartful living. It’s the kind of energy that lets people breathe. It gives peace. It creates connections.
And we need more of that in the world right now, don’t we?
So here’s your invitation today:
Be heartful.
Not just when it’s easy. Not just with the people you love. But with strangers. With cashiers. With neighbors. With yourself.
Lead with your heart. Speak from your heart. Live in your heart.
Because someone out there needs it. Maybe more than you know.
And when you give it…it changes something. For them. And for you, too.
I love y’all. I really do. I hope these words meet you where you are and make a little space in your day for something real.
