Thank you for joining us in the video series, Ali Reda’s Road to Sales Success. We’ve been talking about the five pillars of high achievement and how to use them to make that shift in your business. You know the one – the shift from transactional sales to 100% relationships!
It’ll be a little scary when you start, but I assure you it’ll pay off. You’ll need to be persistent, and you’ll need to keep your mindset in a happy place. This is much easier to do when you’re only talking to your friends – when you don’t have to convince everyone you come into contact with that you aren’t a thief and a liar. But what about those tough days?
How do you keep your mind right when you’re not on top? How do you make sure it doesn’t bring you down when your numbers just aren’t where you want them to be?
I invite you to watch this week’s video for our thoughts on the matter.
When we start in this industry, they try to make us desperate. They do all they can to put us in debt, and make us feel like we have to sell to survive. In turn, we put pressure on our customer, and they can feel that.
They can also feel when you’re just there to help them. Listen to their needs and wants, be aware of what they are looking for, pay attention to them. When you do this, you’re closing ratio will go up.
When you start to feel that fatalistic feeling, Ali says…
JUST BREATHE.
Back off, and think about why you’re here. You’re here to help somebody, not to sell somebody!
My challenge to you:
Do not sell the next person you talk to. Just be nice to them, listen to them, focus on their needs, and center yourself into the knowledge that THIS IS THE PEOPLE BUSINESS. The business of this business is people, and the key to massive success is not just to build the relationship but to maintain it for life.
If you can do that, you’re going to be proud and profitable in creating a scalable business that not only sustains you, but keeps you busy! This business is brutal. Don’t play the blame game. Just find a way to be positive. You’re not working for today – you’re working for five years from now, and if you can remember that… it will get easier!
In the comments below, tell us about your last relationship sale. Wasn’t it easy? Isn’t it nice to just be able to help people?
