Using the five pillars of high achievement, you have gained more clarity, intentionality, energy, and consistency. Today, we’re going to talk about relationships. Long time 100 Cars Club member, Ernie Rodriguez has a lot to tell us about relationships. He is a great friend to us, an incredible salesman, and a constant advocate for his community. Ernie tells us that what really matters are the connections and the relationships that we make. In places you already go, just talk to people. In your kids’ schools, send the office some muffins for no reason or pass out Gatorade to the players at the games. Do what you can for them. Let them know how much you care and that you’re happy to help them wherever you are and wherever you go.
In the relationship business, you just get to help your friends get what they need. It’s not about the sale, it’s just about helping people. Ernie says that in the relationship business, you don’t have to be the hunter. They come to find you because you are helping people. You become hunted by everyone in your circle that needs your help.
Let’s get to that fifth pillar of high achievers today! This is what it’s all about, people! We’re in the relationship business after all. Just show up, be yourself, and make a connection with people. Get to know them, support them, bring value to them. Ask about them, and sincerely listen to their story.
