Welcome back to our video series, Ali Reda’s Road to Sales Success. We want you to find incredible amounts of success, and we’re going to do everything we can to help you find your way to it. So, we started this program with Carlos, and began by diving deep into his new career. By immediately implementing the Auto Training Academy philosophy into the sales process we’re finding so much growth in the struggles and successes, and we’re so happy to share this with you as we move forward.
Last week, we told you about a transactional call that Ali took with a skeptical customer who was quickly blown away by Ali’s sincere intention to help him. This is the goal, right? We want to transform their idea of us. We want to be a non-threatening presence. We want to be perceived as the good people we actually are. So, how do we walk into a room and meet people when we know that these are our obstacles?
I invite you to watch this week’s video as we look a little further into this question.
So there you have it! It’s not about soliciting business. It’s not about your job title, your industry, or what you do. It’s only about WHO YOU ARE.
The first thing out of your mouth should not be, “Hey, I sell cars.” It should be “Hey, how you doing?” Just show up, be yourself, and make a connection with people – a genuine connection. You are a person. At what point in our lives did we decide that we no longer needed to convey that to people? Let them see you, know you, and be intrigued by the goodness in you.
Ask about them, and sincerely listen to their story. Let them talk about themselves. I assure you, they’ll want to know more about who you are, and they’ll eventually ask what you do. Now, let’s talk a little about that too. What do you do? We’ve been conditioned to feel like we have to defend ourselves when we answer this one. Stand up straight, my friend! Lift your head up high, put your shoulders back, and live in the truth of what you do. You are a defender of the innocent – a protector of those who could’ve been taken advantage of, but luckily you found them first.
“I protect my friends from car salesmen.”
Tell them who you are, not what you do. You’re not pushy. You’re just helpful – here to solve and serve when your friends need you. Be part of your community, and let them see you shine! Make sure you’re involved in OUR community too. Follow me so you don’t miss a thing! I’m on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin, and DealerElite.
We hope you’ve been enjoying Ali Reda’s Road to Sales Success. We want this to be of great benefit to you. In the comments below, let us know if there are any questions coming up for you. Is there anything you just can’t wait to know more about?
