Gooooooooood Morning! And thank you, again, for joining us in another video in the series, Advertising for Success. Let’s get right to it. We’ve been talking about advertising for a while now, and I think it’s high time we start giving you some homework!
Are you using your social network to grow your business? Have you been posting about local businesses in your community like we discussed a few weeks ago? What are you doing to show them who you are? And more importantly, how are you reaching out to the people you already know to remind them of who you are?
We’re all busy. That’s why Facebook and Instagram are such a great way to keep people seeing you. Out to dinner with the family? Post a picture, tag the restaurant, and let people know you’re thankful for what you have. They care about you. They wouldn’t be your friends, otherwise. They are YOUR people – your friends, your neighbors, your family. They trust you to help them, and they want you to succeed! So show them how you are! How hard can it be?
Relationship selling gives you an 80% chance of selling the people who like you, trust you, and already believe in you. Our business is brutal! It can so easily be discouraging when your job is to convince people that you aren’t trying to swindle them. Some days, I know it takes all you’ve got to keep yourself positive.

Just make four new friends every day! Reach out to friends of friends on Facebook and Instagram. Make that the first thing you do when you pick up your phone to go down the rabbit hole. It’ll be easy.
The more you post, the more they’ll see you and feel like they know you. Remember, you’re not posting about your business constantly. You’re showing them your life – your wins, your family, your new dog, your friend’s barbecue. You’re giving them reasons to like you, trust you, and believe in you just by putting yourself out there!
Set yourself up to need no ups! Everything we teach is about getting you to make the shift from transactional to relationship selling, and this might be the easiest step in the right direction we’ve come up with… thanks to Ernie!
I challenge you to try it for 60 days. See how you feel. Open the doors, and invite some new relationships into your business.
What should you do to begin the shift now?
- Make four friends a day. – You don’t even have to say anything. Just send a friend request, and when they accept, give them a wave. So simple!
- Engage your Community – Message your old friends, and say hi. Like and comment on their events and functions. Be part of their lives with the click of a heart.
- Are you using the KISS Process? – Make sure you’re taking it one step at a time. You can’t offer a solution if you don’t have all the information. You have to ask the right questions, so you can offer the best solution for them. Read, re-read, and reference Keep It Simple Selling as a guide for your process, and a motivator for your success!
Get in the relationship business! Just try it out for 60 days. I challenge you to incorporate these things into your process, and see how it all feels on you.
